Aimed at all levels\, from novice to experienced artist. \nThe course references other painters and the artist’s own work in order to stimulate activity. Sessions begin with a demonstration by the artist covering composition\, starting the painting\, brush techniques and colour mixing. \nSubjects include: buildings and structures; with guidance on viewpoint and perspective. trees and plants; to include colour mixing. skies and all the basic elements of a landscape composition. DESCRIPTION:The East Cheshire Hospice Starlight Walk returns to Capesthorne Hall on Thursday 15th May 2025. \nThe walk is an opportunity for you\, your family and friends to come together and walk a choice of a 2.5km loop\, 2 loops for 5k or 4 loops for 10k through the beautiful grounds in memory of a loved one. The walk takes place at dusk and there will be beautiful lighting\, lanterns\, fire pits\, points of reflection and other features to enjoy along the way. \nWalkers are encouraged to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice to help fund the care of patients both now and in the future. The event will include live entertainment\, food and drink stalls including alcohol. DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday 12th June 2024\, our gardens will be open to the public in partnership with the National Garden Scheme. \nNormal garden entry will apply at £8.50 for adults and all takings will go to charity. The scheme saw over £3.1 million donated to nursing and health charities in 2022. \nThe Capesthorne acres which surround the Hall with woodland\, parkland\, and lakes\, provide a wonderful\, relaxing space for all visitors. \nOur Lakeside Café will also be open\, serving delicious home-made light refreshments. Afternoon Teas are available (please note\, pre-booking is required at least one week beforehand by calling 01625 861221). \nChildren up to 16 yrs will be free of charge for this event. \nThe Main Hall will be open from 12:30pm to 3:30pm (last entry 3:00pm) for an additional charge of £4 per person\, payable at the Hall Entrance. \n  \nFree parking
