DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday 12th June 2024\, our gardens will be open to the public in partnership with the National Garden Scheme. \nNormal garden entry will apply at £8.50 for adults and all takings will go to charity. The scheme saw over £3.1 million donated to nursing and health charities in 2022. \nThe Capesthorne acres which surround the Hall with woodland\, parkland\, and lakes\, provide a wonderful\, relaxing space for all visitors. \nOur Lakeside Café will also be open\, serving delicious home-made light refreshments. DESCRIPTION:The East Cheshire Hospice Starlight Walk returns to Capesthorne Hall on Thursday 18th April 2024. \nThe walk is an opportunity for you\, your family and friends to come together and walk a choice of a 2.5km loop\, 2 loops for 5k or 4 loops for 10k through the beautiful grounds in memory of a loved one. The walk takes place at dusk and there will be beautiful lighting\, lanterns\, fire pits\, points of reflection and other features to enjoy along the way. \nWalkers are encouraged to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice to help fund the care of patients both now and in the future. The event will include live entertainment\, food and drink stalls including alcohol. DESCRIPTION:Take some time out to unwind and enjoy painting pottery at Capesthorne Hall with Claire Millen from Periwinkle and Clay. \nYour experience will start at 12pm\, when you’ll choose a piece from a selection of functional pottery such as mugs\, plates and bowls.  You’ll have two hours to leisurely paint your piece and once completed\, Claire will take your item to be glazed and fired at her studio at the Old Smithy on the Capesthorne Estate. \nAdditional items to paint can be purchased and paid for on the day. \nPottery painting is a lovely\, relaxing way to spend a couple of hours with family and friends. \nYour piece will be ready to collect from Periwinkle and Clay at the Old Smithy two weeks later.
