DESCRIPTION:The East Cheshire Hospice Starlight Walk returns to Capesthorne Hall on Thursday 18th April 2024. \nThe walk is an opportunity for you\, your family and friends to come together and walk a choice of a 2.5km loop\, 2 loops for 5k or 4 loops for 10k through the beautiful grounds in memory of a loved one. The walk takes place at dusk and there will be beautiful lighting\, lanterns\, fire pits\, points of reflection and other features to enjoy along the way. \nWalkers are encouraged to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice to help fund the care of patients both now and in the future. The event will include live entertainment\, food and drink stalls including alcohol. DESCRIPTION:Take some time out to unwind and enjoy painting pottery at Capesthorne Hall with Claire Millen from Periwinkle and Clay. \nYour experience will start at 12pm\, when you’ll choose a piece from a selection of functional pottery such as mugs\, plates and bowls.  You’ll have two hours to leisurely paint your piece and once completed\, Claire will take your item to be glazed and fired at her studio at the Old Smithy on the Capesthorne Estate. \nAdditional items to paint can be purchased and paid for on the day. \nPottery painting is a lovely\, relaxing way to spend a couple of hours with family and friends. \nYour piece will be ready to collect from Periwinkle and Clay at the Old Smithy two weeks later. Each mini Land Rover holds 1 driver\, 5-9 years-old (inclusive) & 1 passenger\, 2-4 years-old (inclusive). Strictly no adults or children over 9 years-old are allowed to drive on or in the vehicles. The Woodland Walk and Landmark Trail will have a few extra guests…we also have some Halloween crafts on offer. \nSpooky Skeleton Trail \nTen past residents of Capesthorne Hall have returned for Halloween! \nTheir resurrected skeletons are lurking around the grounds for you to hunt down in a Spooky Trail! \nEach skeleton will be hiding a word\, and it’s your task to find the word and get it written down. \nOnce you have collected them all and finished the trail\, make your way to The Lakeside Café where you will be able to collect a word search puzzle. Using the 10 words you have collected from the trail complete the word search! Or feel free to take your word search puzzle home and complete it later on! \nNormal garden entry fees apply of £8.50 for adults and £4.50 for children (aged 5-16 yrs). Under 5’s go free. \nCreepy Crafts \nUnleash your creepy creativity at Capesthorne Hall this Halloween. \nThis October half-term we have the opportunity for children (aged 3-12) to get creative in our Lakeside Marquee! \nThere is a small additional charge for each craft\, but\, if you want to do all three activities\, we have a special offer price of just £8! \nWe have three crafts on offer: \nPumpkin Carving – £5\nMagnificent Yarn Mummies – £2\nMonster Pebbles – £2 \n  \nEach craft is completely different from each other.
